When I learned of her passing, I immediately looked up old photos of her and compared her 'old teeth' with her recent teeth. I wondered if you were doing the same!

Her genes for longevity were not terrific. Father died at 69, Mother 87. One grandmother made it to 91. I suspect Diane didn't enjoy a generally happy life. But maybe it would have been happier - and healthier - without the "dental interference." Very sad.

Curious- do you think the custom dental mouthpiece Marlon Brando wore to achieve the jowls in Godfather contributed to his downfall? It looks so bizarre, not the typical device but timing is curious. When he started Godfather looks like his structure was still pretty great and he had strong structure all of his early career. Wore the device for however long Godfather filmed, it came out in 1972 and by 1980s he started to put on significant weight - he always had “binge” eating habits but could always lose that weight pretty easy from what is reported. Thoughts?

the hollywood actress with perhaps the best biomechanics might just be michelle pfeiffer. if you took away the signs of aging around her eyes, the rest of her face easily looks in her 30s despite her being 67

her facial structure is overall very strong - almost like she barely lost any volume compared to in her youth, thus the lack of wrinkles or sagginess. its mainly around her eyes that you can notice signs of aging - compared to her youth, her eyes looks smaller, more sunken - and using my own personal experience with my right eye, very likely the accumulated tension gradually pulled her eyes 'into' the socket, thus the loss in volume in structure that causes the skin around her eyes to very visibly wrinkle

if she managed to release the tension pulling on her eyes, very likely they would protrude forward, look bigger, and provide the volume to smooth out the wrinkles

So if she had not capped her teeth and had used the mouth guard then could that have supported her to better health and better teeth?

yes because capping her teeth almost definitely flattened her teeth (which is just a reflection of the fact that her skull probably collapsed in)

Whereas a mouthguard would have inflated things and im confident she'd be alive today
