Hello Ken, my father has the beginning of dementia. He has prosthetic teeth that he removes while he sleeps. His teeth are quite small, what would you recommend?
Yes, full denture. The doctor says that if he does not remove the dentures while sleeping, his palate will be irritated. So my father sleeps without a prosthesis. Isn't it very dangerous?
Good read. I can resonate with this a little bit. I’m curious about your journey of bouncing back from the botched dentistry incident. Did you end up correcting your bite with more dentistry or did you fix your biomechanics/neurology through other means?
I feel like my neurology has been weakened in the past few years and I can tell my bite is a bit off. I do know that has a profound effect on the rest of the body, including the cranial nerves.
if you have the biomechanical means the opportunities to gain experience are also ubiquitous
MrBrose is becoming like philosopher.
Could he become the next Friedrich Nietzsche?

fully prosthetic?
Check if the prosthetic teeth lock? If so they are likely contributing to his dementia
He should try to adapt them so that its a single flat contact

oh.. for sure wear a mouthguard if not wearing the dentures to sleep.
as yes... that will be a massive loss of vertical and causing some level of collapse most likely
the problem with dentures is.. if u do reviv they may stop fitting at some point
but probably not if youre just using reviv at night and popping the dentures back in during the day

no i bounced back thru my own means.. there's posts about it in this substack
all u really need is a mouthguard and consistency...as crazy as that sounds
