Hey Kenny can I say something to you without you getting offended. I watched this video of you talking . I’m a very observant person. I was watching your mouth and it seems to me that your lower jaw is a bit to forward, I mean it seems to appear that way. I remember when I was younger and getting my teeth filled with the Mercury and whatever other toxic shit in it. The dentist filled my molers and I think they were too high which in turn when I bit down my lower jaw receded. I remember looking in the mirror and realized , although a very thin teenager I looked like I was developing a double chin, I said WTF of course at that point, I was approaching puberty and being self-conscious of what I look like when I bit down, I realize in order to have contact with my back teeth I was actually pulling my lower jaw backwards, creating that little goiter thing or whatever it is looking like a double chin and I went to the dentist and had him grind down. I can’t remember now if it was the top feeling lower ones. I had a lot of feelings when I was a youngster and then my jaw connected properly and I didn’t feel that tightness in my jaw so as I was looking at you, I remember you saying the dentist had drilled your teeth all the way down in the back that would also make your lower jaw come forward, so I’m just curious is that do you have TMJ or did you?
So basically the first time i ‘lost my profile’ was in 2014 when the dentist drilled my teeth as i talked about.
Then in 2016 as i’ve mentioned in some posts i had figured out what im doing now the first time and got it back and was in the best shape of my life (profile included).
But then i screwed it up again and kind of went thru many circles of getting a bit better / a bit worse the next ~5 years till late 2021. As i was using dentists, etc.
And then i ‘remembered’ what i was doing in 2016 when i’d fixed the jaw/profile in late 2021 and have been doing it since.. but it takes time.
The best way to describe what is happening and what i did in 2016 is to imaging that your jaw is like a tennis ball underneath the middle of a rug.And u need to keep working it from the top of the rub with your hands till it gets to the edge. Then finally it releases.
When you get the ball (jaw) to the edge of the rug it frees up and reverts to its correct anatomical position and spine corrects.
I have not completed this process but make progress daily and have a way of measuring it that i havent realy talked about much.
But i am pretty confident that anyone that has a double chin.. it is this exact same process i described above.
They will never get their profile back by exercise and dieting. They will simply look skinnier.
You need to actually get the ball out from under the rug.
As to whether i have ‘TMJ’… i do not have symptoms for a very long time but is my jaw in the correct position? not yet. As i need to get it out from under the rug
Yes I can tell but you are well on your way and I can tell your double chin in 2014 is the same thing I had. My face is pretty symmetrical and my jaw line no longer recedes but something is definitely not lined up because my neck is crunching and grinding and I have headaches all the time. I’m hoping the mouth guard will help.

This is a pic from around that time that i think i’d put in a blog post some months back: https://share.cleanshot.com/WZqDbPjs

it all fixes but it takes a lot of time.
You just need to imagine your jaw jammed back and pointing downwards and a bit twisted.
But it is trapped in that position by the soft tissue.
Then you need to keep working the soft tissue to get it back where it should be.
Very much like pushing a tennis ball that is stuck under the middle of the rug to the edge. This is what i did in 2016 so i know this is how it works.
And the rubber guard essentially does that.
But takes a long time.
