Part of the issue is that some think that talking about anti-aging is fundamentally vain and/or ageist. Because many aren’t used to looking at things in terms of a structural/health vantage point. Anti-aging should perhaps be remarketed as (or at least become a subcategory of) anti-collapse/anti-unhealth to help circumvent this potential confusion. I think it is easier for us who have experienced a severe health decline to know the importance of why reversing this trajectory is such a massive deal.

yes exactly... great point.

What we are doing here is in my mind completely different from some of the vain/aesthetic-oriented products.

But us pretty old women like some of that too 😊 since I got on the biomechanics train rather late, tho fortunately for me, I haven't had most of the problems I hear about others here having. And my facial structure is still in pretty good shape despite receded gums from some bone loss (fixing that!)

I did however need to have a hip replacement surgery last week but I consider it more due to high wear n tear from being a belly dancer for decades which uses the hips intensively. Whatever the cause though I intend to manage the biomechanics aspect from now on. 🙂

I should said: Yes but/and

i had a remarkable intuition that the anti-aging focus of modernity really reflects its superficial nature. the focus is all on the skin, the surface, the most shallow and superficial things people can see. so they don't ponder 'deeply' about what is the real root and solution to the problem.

its like seeing the fuel gauge go from full to empty, and then thinking the solution is to manually fiddle with the gauge so that it goes back to full...when the real solution, if one understands the deeper, structural reasons for how things work...is to fill up the gas tank with fuel!

so modernity does its anti-aging schtick by trying to paint the skin a different coating. because its too superficial and impatient to think deeper, long-term, to think in terms of the basics, physics, let alone metaphysics. bryan johnson is at least a relatively deep and patient thinker and does seem to have stumbled upon some sound ideas whilst avoiding the main pitfalls

I find it interesting that you wrote this and it showed up in my inbox today. I've been thinking (read: stressing) about how deflated my face looks, despite how well I eat, exercise (mild), meditation, supplements. My skin looks as if it is melting off my face. I vowed to begin using Reviv tomorrow, and I wanted to ask you if it (big asks, but why not??? I'm 62 years old): balances hormones, reduces cortisol middle, lifts skin, increases collagen production and elastin? Among other aging signs, but I will stop there for now. TY! PS: Have you done anything else besides Reviv that could account (or add to) the changes you've made?

Hi i do have a feeling it helps. Ive never measured my hormones but I feel completely different than i do 4-5 yrs ago. Testosterone feels like its on a whole other level.

I purposefully do nothing besides Reviv.

No supplements, no exercise, no special diet, etc. I just work a ton.

I see that there is a fast track that involves stretching, etc. Did you begin those techniques after seeing measurable results?

EGK's avatar

i was always doing stretching as part of my mix and for me this has been a very non-linear 10+ year journey where i only figured out the rules fully in late 2021.

Well, I'm glad you took one for the team!

This may be a sensitive issue for some, but do you think LGBTI is a biomechanical problem?

DistantSun's avatar

I have been told by a medical intuitive that it is a polarity imbalance.

👏🏻 I think of a Halloween pumpkin in October versus late November and how deflated it is. Reviv helps keep our pumpkin heads fresh!! 🎃 I do take Silica and Collagen which have helped me but I definitely think the structural component is EVERYTHING! Thank you for helping to inflate humanity 🎈
