How to fix RFK Jr's voice (spasmodic dysphonia)

RFJ Jr has a condition called spasmodic dysphonia, which I am pretty much positive this biomechanical approach fixes

Not long ago i was watching one of my favorite podcasters, Andrew Schulz, interviewing RFJ Jr.

I’d seen RFK Jr. talked about a lot recently given his relevance to the recent US presidential campaign. And the role he will play on the Trump team as one of his top lieutenants.

Anyway I hadn’t really heard him talk before. But I could immediately tell when I heard him speak that his voice sounded strained, something I’m very familiar with.

And my trained eye focused immediately on the soft tissues. How his neck was screwed up and I could see how it was restricting his movement to some detree. And how his cervicals were somewhat collapsed.

At some point he says “I can’t stand listening to myself talk.” And it reminded me of something I used to say when shit was bad some years back.

He also says at some point “lots of people have written to me over the years claiming they could fix my voice. But none of it worked.”

I smiled… you ain’t met me yet RFK.

Why am I so confident? Let me explain.

RFK Junior has a condition called spasmodic dysphonia

RFK Jr developed spasmodic dysphonia in the 1990s when he was in his late 30s. It completely changed his voice from strong and resonant to this strained, whispery sound you hear today.

For a guy with a ton of ambition and whose family is known for their powerful speaking abilities, this must have been devastating.

Every time he talks now, you can hear the strain in his voice. It's like his vocal cords are fighting against him.

Earlier he wanted to even run for the 2024 Presidency. But did he have a realistic shot with his voice in this condition?

No. It’s a handicap too deep in my view. And I say that having experienced something very similar and seen how it impacted me.

What is spasmodic dysphonia?

Spasmodic dysphonia is when the muscles that control your vocal cords go into spasm.

The medical establishment treats it like some mysterious neurological condition. They'll tell you it's incurable and the best they can do is Botox injections into the throat.

Been there. Done that. Completely useless in my view.

And so not surprisingly I think they're completely missing what's actually happening here.

I had issues with my voice since my early 20's

I know exactly what RFK Jr is going through because I dealt with voice issues for years.

Mine started getting tight in my early 20s, right after I had my wisdom teeth removed. Coincidence? I don't think so.

My voice would get muffled and strained, especially in loud rooms. It made it really hard to keep people's attention or control conversations.

I saw how it limited my career in various ways.

For example, people with louder, more resonant voices would interrupt and talk over me easily. Then the meeting would often end up concluding whatever they wanted. Despite the fact that if I had a healthy voice I could have easily pushed it back in my direction. That really frustrated me a lot.

I spent hundreds of hours researching everything about the voice, including spasmodic dysphonia.

I visited lots of docs and tried everything - botox, voice coaches, therapy, pills, you name it. Nothing worked. Because they were all focusing on the wrong thing.

In 2016 these biomechanics fixed my voice

Then in 2016, while I was fixing myself from the shit that happened in 2014 (see this article for the details on that), something amazing happened - my voice problems fixed. For a couple months in 2015, my voice was very strong and resonant like when I was a teen.

It was like night and day.

Suddenly I could express my opinion and direct conversations effortlessly.

People paid much more attention when I spoke. It’s like the resonance of my voice made everything i said far more interesting lol.

It felt amazing. I was promoted 2x that year on my job and I attribute ~70% of that to my voice alone.

It made realize just how powerful the voice is to our personality. I literally think our personality is mainly a function of our voice.

Unfortunately, I screwed it up again some months later as I was experimenting a lot and had probably messed it up by indexing my bite again (something I didn’t realize was wrong till later on).

The voice got weaker and my personality changed with it. I’d lost the ‘badass’ i had become for a short while…. and it was like a drug. I wanted that shit back. And i wanted it back bad.

It’s been perhaps the biggest motivating factor to fix this stuff since that time.

I expect to have a very strong voice when i'm done

Now my voice has been steadily improving for the past few years as I work on these biomechanics.

Back in 2021 I couldn’t stand listening to myself speak. It’s why I shied away from ever creating any Youtube content.

Now, even though my voice is far from fully recovered I enjoy creating video content. I don’t mind hearing my voice anymore.

But I also look forward to fixing things further. Because it is like a superpower.

Having a strong voice in a way sets you free in this world. It’s like it inflates your balls and gives you more ‘character’. Haha

It makes you impossible to ignore. And that is an incredible power.

Tick tock, tick tock. I’m fucking coming and my voice is coming with me baby.

I'm confident the same thing would work for RFK Jr

These biomechanics would stretch all the tissues that are holding things out of position in RFK Jr’s neck and jaw area.

Things like the hyoid are pulled out of place. And they start to go back into position as well as all the structures around it.

Muscles will also relax.

Vocal resonance will come back.

Fix that and can RFK Jr win a future Presidential election?

Maybe one day. But if he doesn’t… no chance.

Because with it comes confidence and fight. Without any additional effort.

Closing thoughts

Having lost my voice and gotten it back multiple times over the decades, I've learned just how crucial it is.

And here's the thing - there's nothing genetic about having a strong voice. It's all about these biomechanics.

That's why I'm pretty sure this would fix RFK Jr. His condition isn't some mysterious neurological disease - it's a physical problem with a physical solution.

And i’m going to prove that on myself.

Then on many many others.

Maybe RFK Jr will be one of them one day.
