I eventually got mine 3 days ago, but I only started to use it today 07/21/25, wore it for an hour and already starting to feel a stretch

Janet's avatar

Just got mine today. Have it in now for the last 30 min. Not too bad. I’m hoping to open up my crowded teeth. Will try to remember to report back with any progress!!

great.. let us know how it goes

How do you feel now after a couple months?

Hi- I began my reviv last week. I also have Invisalign- I know I know! My teeth are alive and I didn’t know about reviv until a few months ago. I have been wearing my reviv at night with my Invisalign. I actually really like the stretch. But I cannot close my mouth. Excited to watch the progress.

Hey Janet, how did you go with reviv?

I have an implant for front tooth (# 9, left side) have you gotten or know anyone who has implants and the soft tissue still expands? Wondering how it works with implants?

EGK's avatar

yes i think it works fine with implants.. its just that the implant might look a little out of place later after teh rest of the teeth remodel

Will cutting the tounge tab off make the device not work as well or effective?? It causes so much irritation at the back of my teeth.

EGK, I wanted to ask about keeping the mouth open or closed during sleep. Mine opens on its own, I notice it as I’m falling asleep.

I don’t think it’s necessarily a problem, but wouldn’t it be better to keep it closed? Wouldn’t the stretch be greater? What do you think about using mouth tape?

EGK's avatar

yes i think using mouthtape with a mouthguard is a good idea. Mouthtape without using a mouthguard is next to useless in my view.

Many folks doing reviv us mouthtape

I just received mine and I have a question

Mine is moving not sitting in place , a little unsure as to how it is meant to feel and sit

I was expecting it to be snug along my teeth

Can I have some clarification please

EGK's avatar

Hi!

Happy to clarify. It's normal for it not to feel snug or locked onto your teeth at first — the Reviv isn't meant to grip your teeth tightly the way a custom-fitted guard does. It sits more loosely by design, and what holds it in place over time is the soft tissue stretching around it, not a tight grip on the teeth.

The thing worth checking is whether your teeth seat into the channels.

The guard has channels for your upper and lower teeth — if your teeth settle into those (even if it feels loose), the size is right. If that's happening, the movement you're feeling is just the early stage before the tissue has stretched enough to hold it steady.

That settles with continued wear. Building up time during the day in shorter intervals helps speed it along, and a fair few folks use a bit of mouth tape to help keep it in place at night while the tissue catches up.

If the teeth genuinely won't seat into the channels at all, let me know and we'll look at it — but in most cases this early looseness is just part of the adjustment.

How do I get a hold of this company? I am new and the medium is too big for me. I would like to get a small, but that was not an option when I ordered it.

EGK's avatar

you can write to cs@getreviv.com

How do I know if it is best to wear the Medium or Large?

EGK's avatar

It comes down to the measurement between the outer edges of your upper molars. Roughly 50–62mm is the medium, and 63mm and up is the large. If you land right around 62mm, size up to the large.

Here's how to measure: https://youtu.be/gmoeX-6gsFg

I have an issue that I’m wearing the revive 1 since over a month now and i have noticed that my upper pallet has gone way up which has made mewing during the day difficult, can someone tell me if something is wrong or is it temporary or will things improve over time?

Alyssa's avatar

I just got mine today. It fits perfectly in my very small mouth and is very comfortable. I was expecting to feel a stretch happening. Did I order too small? My mouth is extremely small and every dentist / hygienist says so.

I received my R2 three days ago.

My canines stick out slightly outward, and the R2 really hurts—I can’t wear it for very long. The gum gets compressed and eventually starts to bleed. So I still wear it, but without inserting it fully. I’m not sure if that’s a bad idea.

I can clearly feel that my jaw is moving, because when I wear it for a long time, my back teeth can no longer come into contact when chewing (my canines move inward and prevent my jaw from fully closing). Should I keep going?

Julien DS's avatar

Ok so it seems better if I start again with R3 and keep R2 for later ? And what about my back teeth ? Will they adjust and be able to touch again when chewing ?

I am worried i might choke on it ehen sleeping what should i do, and what size should i get, and hoe to get the mesurements so i can get the right size

Can it fix the palate of a 7yr old who only just stopped sucking her thumb a month ago?

EGK's avatar

We view that there is a good chance this process will help expand the palate and reposition the teeth naturally over time.

For a 7 year old we would recommend the R1 small as our R3 medium starts from about 10 years old. But it wont last long if your child clenches/grinds. In that case it might be better to get a myobrace j1/j2 off of aliexpress

I am fused from T2 to T12 from scoliosis my jaw and hips are in pain 24/7 from compression I’ve just received my reviv 2.

Anyways my question is- is it safe to use with my fused spine? Thank you

EGK's avatar

I really don't know enough about the process of 'fusing' and i'm not a doctor/dentist.

This process willl generally realign the spine to what it 'should' be over time... and that will probably put some pressure on the fusing that was done. But i dont know enough about fusing to say whether that is a good or bad thing.

I wasn’t asking you as a dentist or doctor but just as another soul who has walked the path 😌🙏🏼

Update: wore for a few hours yesterday & all of last night and I have literal years of pain taken from me… 😭 this is revolutionary for the world of scoliosis and those who have been fused. I woke up feeling like a human again like anything is possible. I’ve been in a living hell for so long and your explanations along with this device is gonna change the world. Working in a healing space myself I will be spreading the word.

So much gratitude 🙌🏼
