I have an implant for front tooth (# 9, left side) have you gotten or know anyone who has implants and the soft tissue still expands? Wondering how it works with implants?
EGK, I wanted to ask about keeping the mouth open or closed during sleep. Mine opens on its own, I notice it as I’m falling asleep.
I don’t think it’s necessarily a problem, but wouldn’t it be better to keep it closed? Wouldn’t the stretch be greater? What do you think about using mouth tape?
With permanent retainers on both top and bottom, in our view it's more effective to have them removed first before starting with the R3, rather than trying to work around them.
The retainers hold your teeth in a fixed position, which works against what Reviv is doing — letting the tissue stretch and teeth reposition naturally.
Sounds like removing them is the right direction if you're already considering it.
I just got mine yesterday. I got the reviv one large, but it feels very snug around my teeth. It felt fine wearing at first, but then my lower incisors (which jut out slightly past my canines) started hurting, so much so I had to take it out (even after taking it out they still hurt when I touch them). Im not seeing anyone talking about teeth hurting, is it normal? Thanks xx
Yes, this is normal, especially in the first day or two — teeth that jut out slightly like your lower incisors do tend to take more of the pressure early on, since they're the first point of contact. That soreness afterward, even after taking it out, is common in the very early stage as the teeth are just starting to adjust.
A snug feel on the R1 large itself isn't unusual either — as long as your teeth are seating properly into the channels, that's the right fit.
Given how sore it got, we'd suggest easing off for now — give it a break for a day, then go back in short daytime stretches (10–20 minutes) rather than trying for a full night again straight away. Build up gradually from there.

That settles with continued wear. Building up time during the day in shorter intervals helps speed it along, and a fair few folks use a bit of mouth tape to help keep it in place at night while the tissue catches up.
If the teeth genuinely won't seat into the channels at all, let me know and we'll look at it — but in most cases this early looseness is just part of the adjustment.

It comes down to the measurement between the outer edges of your upper molars. Roughly 50–62mm is the medium, and 63mm and up is the large. If you land right around 62mm, size up to the large.

yes i think it works fine with implants.. its just that the implant might look a little out of place later after teh rest of the teeth remodel

yes i think using mouthtape with a mouthguard is a good idea. Mouthtape without using a mouthguard is next to useless in my view.

I’m confused about the tongue tab. I thought it’s meant to hold your tongue in place. What is its purpose?
the tongue pushes into it and it stretches the tongue a bit more. Its not needed in my view. A mouthguard will also work fine without it
